My Life so far

Well well well it been a long time since I last posted here maybe about a little less than 2 years. Since then in the mean time a lot has happened to me some pleasant mostly unpleasant. I have moved to Vietnam for year to do my internship as required by my university, still have four months to go. To be honest I am having a love-hate relationship with this country as time goes by. There are days I feel like I am in prison and others like there is no better place on earth. I have none the less met very many amazing and well traveled people something which is sadly rather rare in Hungary as most people there have not stepped out of Central Eastern Europe so conversation is rather limited as compared to most of the expat crowd here.
November and December where the hardest two months of my life as my mother passed away 2 days before my 21st birthday. I have gotten over it more or less now but its still rather hard to cope and at times it seemed as though alcohol and chain smoking seemed to be the only temporary memory against that hole in my soul. A bout of gastritis put an end to that phase though and gave me a rude awakening that if this lifestyle where to continue I would definitely not live to my next birthday. I haven’t stopped drinking and smoking that’s almost out of the question but I cut down. I only drink one glass of wine a day with my dinner and smoke half a pack instead of 1 and a half packs of cigarettes a day. Plus eating a lot more fruit and vegetable now.
None the less my life in Vietnam is very alone, I have “friends” who only ever want to meet so as to get drunk, since I stopped binging they don’t even call me. I have a room mate from Vladivostok whome I only ever see about twice a week as she is always out. Great person but a bit strange as she has no income, but manages to travel Vietnam and get around quite comfortably. Two of my friends suspect she is a lesbian but I don’t really care and its none of my business. Only thing that is a bit annoying is that she locks herself out of her bedroom and I will sometimes have to come and give her the key as there is only one identical one to both bedrooms in my flat.
I am seriously considering coming back to Vietnam and stay a few years longer after completing uni despite all my issues. I have decided to travel somewhere every second week end inside Vietnam on my own, more or less to see the country as well as get away from the smog of Ho Chi Minh City. As well as basically spend some precious time on my own.
My Schedule is as Follows:
27 Feb Cu Chi Tunnels
14 March Dalat a quaint town in the mountains
28 March Bangkok, Thailand visit an old girl friend who is living there now.
11 April Hanoi it will be a first time in Vietnams capital and second largest city for me.
25 April Mui Ne or Phu Quoc hit the beach and relax in the middle of the hot season.
Mid June I am back in Budapest. :-(

Well went back to Phi Phi this time on my own for one night, got an airconditioned bungalow for about 15 Euro a night, walked around the island went swimming and drank beer and unsuccessfully looked for pussy with this middle aged New Zealander I met on the 1.5 hour speed boat ride over here. It is so nice here in Phi Phi no hassles from Taxi drivers, masseuses and in the night bar girls, who one cant avoid even in the expensive bar of the Hilton hotel. Yesterday was a new record for me as I smoked 13 cigarettes in 6 hours, the remaining seven i threw away as I was pissed at myself. Ever get those moments when you ask yourself what the hell am I doing?
Watched DW TV this morning and there was a report on this new so called far right militia called the Hungarian guard in Budapest, which wishes to take over police duties with their interests in mind. Hmmm leaving Kenya and coming to Hungary it seems like I jumped from one frying pan to another. Well I am hoping the media is just exaggerating the true danger this group poses. Strange as Russia slowly seems to be getting its shit in order Hungary seems to be getting out of order. Oh and Germany beat England with basically their second team against the English first team in England yay. :)

One thing that got my attention here in Thailand is the fact that one of the gods that is worshipped is the child god, and for this god they buy toys regularly to put in the shrines of their houses. Some even say that they find the toys scattered around their houses, when they wake up in the morning. Well in the end it is up to the individual to believe it or not.

Well since we got on the boat here in thailand there have only been problems like radar not working and wind indicator breaking down under way but worst of all is the anchor winch doesnt work so taking in the anchor takes two hours instead of 5 minutes like it is supposed to. So today we returned and are getting another boat this time a French made Beneteau 45 other than the American made Hunter 45 we had previously. Lets hope for the best. Plus my dad and our friends as well as me all need a visa for Vietnam they dont care if one is EU or not all rules apply for everyone. I think all third world countries should follow this example cause the EU has very discriminatory laws in applying for their visas.
GO VIETNAM!!!

Last night was the last party night before the final exam period. So we went to Rio, and offcourse were pretty wasted before we even got there. But it was really fun the first time I have been to a club were there were more girls than guys. Anyways met lots of new cool people, I met three Somali guys the only ones I have seen in all of Hungary, then I talked well flirted with two girls from another former Soviet community outside of our uni, both were called Vica or in long Victoria, one is Ukrainian and the other is Kazakh. They had early classes the next day so they left early, or maybe i annoyed the hell out of them :). Then I didnt even dance with one girl for literally five seconds and we made out, and she iniciated it. I didnt get her name her phone number hell we didnt even say a word. All I know is she is Hungarian, strange thing is she went with her friends to the bathroom and that was the last I saw of her, and trust me I searched the place very well, for 45 minutes. Until Misha had to tell me to relax. Anyway hella fun night. Fuck my control freak Dad is coming tomorow. hhahahahahahah my friend Amr has his dad now in his flat and at age 22 his dad forbid him to go out and told him to go to bed early. hahahahaahahahahahahahh

yibanuti pizdata suka. Last night was messed up we went to this club called rio and the place was a fucking sausage fest, so we were with some girls which we had to keep an eye on, after a while we were so drunk we just left them to all those horny bastards. Hungarian men and women are really lose when it comes to sex, hence it is impossible to establish a proper relationship with them.
Well last night at around mid night the guys and I just decided to drive down to Szentendre which is were the Danube makes a big bend and is 36 km from Budapest. And just go there to find a pier or a beach and just sit and drink beer since it was such a warm evening. So we drove there picked up Aidana and Julia on the way. Before we went one of us had to buy "medicine" from this guy. So we went to this Nigerian hang out in Budapest, its basically a bar/internet cafe were when we walked in there was only one Hungarian guy in the whole place and the rest were all Nigerians. Was really interesting. After Szentendre we drove to Szimpla this alternative club/bar/cafe/pub, I cant categorise it. We got into Szimpla at 3 am and left at 4 am cause we were feeling sleepy. Oh earlier in the day I went to the aviation museum and finally it was working. We went inside Tupolev's and Ilyushin's sat on the cockpit seats and even inside the glass nose cone of the TU-134. Also found out Malev Hungarian airlines in the 1980s used to take their Tupolev 154's on the route Budapest-Damaskus-Aden-NAIROBI-Maputo. So they did a real bus shuttle with it. Anyway was a great day.

Well yesterday was really weird, it all started with Csilla sms'ing me to tell me that we should meet today instead of yesterday, and then I was cooking and really getting frustrated with a bottle of soya sauce cause the damn thing refused to open. Anyway I never finished cooking cause Vuk called me to join him for lunch, so i put the half fried rice in the fridge for another day. We ate then went to his house for ice cream, as we were there Shu came and she was crying her eyes out cause her bf of 2 years just ended their relationship, so offcourse Vuk and I had to cheer her up. After a while at his flat i got a call from my landlord not to go to Moszkva ter cause there is a bank robbery and the guy is heavily armed and has taken many hostages. Anyway special forces killed the guy who was mentally ill and only 1 hostage was injured the security guard who tried to shoot him in the beginning. The whole thing was 2 hours, my mom even called to ask if I was ok it was in the news in Kenya. After that I meet with Vova, Julia, Shu and Misha at West end and we go to Vova's flat. First I drive home to drop my car there, Misha decides to accompany me and we go back by public transport. At Moszkva ter late in the night we walk to a 24 hour shop to buy some alcohol. On the walk there I spot a group of skins about 100 metres ahead of us, walking towards us. Luckily they hadnt seen us yet. So I till Misha quickly lets hide, so we enter this beer house which is crowded with like Factory workers and stuff, and just mix in the crowd while keeping an eye out the window till they pass us. They did after we went out and bought our stuff, and took the Metro to Vova's. We later go to a club and end up leaving after 1 hour cause Zhenia paid for a drink and they gave him the wrong change. Way too little so we had an argument, called the manager etc. We lost the argument and in protest left. It was pouring rain and we waited ages for a taxi. I was freezing and wet. Anyway went home and to bed.
The next day I wake up to this http://news.bbc.co.uk/2/hi/africa/6627485.stm

Soon after Csilla sms's me and says she is really ill she had eaten something bad, so todays date is cancelled.

This is a great week end, heck so much has happened already i am affraid to leave the house, till Monday.

2 Cuban soldiers attempt Hijack

Well 2 Cuban soldiers attempted to hijack a plane but luckily it failed. Hijacks are common in Cuba due to the fact that every Cuban who reaches American soil is automatically given asylum. Well they killed two other Cuban security officials in this action, one who was unarmed was killed execution style. But now they have been arrested and will face the revolutionary court. Idiots Idiots is all I can say, I wouldnt be displeased if they are to be executed.

Back from a great time at the Balaton

Well just got back from the Balaton, Siofok to be exact and wow although the town was rather empty, we had so much fun doing stupid shit as well as hmm getting high and wasted. And Zhenia being drunk was the best we even gave him a new nick name Pyian, which means alcoholic. Anyway after 2 nights at the Balaton, I meet my father here and offcourse he is trying to tell me how to live my life. He got pretty angry when he heard that I am taking Russian next semester, I didnt argue with him cause I know his views and at his age arguing is like speaking to a brick wall. I just told him off about taking biz instead of political science and now at least let me do something that I want to learn. For god sakes he wanted me to take German at an advanced level, or French. I have made my decision and I will stick to it, he went to his Hotel a bit upset but thats his problem. Anyway today I will try to have a good time. May 19 the Balaton guys and I are planning to go to Vienna. Maybe I take Csillus along, have to see how her plans look like.

Friday I hopefully meet Csilla for lunch that is if she finishes her classes early and then in the afternoon its off to the Balaton, Shu and Zhenia are buying loads of drinks in Tesco tomorow, this makes me think by the time we arrive we will all be too drunk to get of the train, we will be stumbling our way to the Hotel and puking at every corner. Now that is a nightmare scenario. Even worse would be that plus heavy rain. But ya 6 of us in one flat that will be fun, well 5 and one insane guy (Egor). Alexandre imagine a friendlier version of an Eric Van der Vynckt, plus Egor is much more of a stoner than Eric could ever dream of being.

Anyway I have not been soo scared in years as I was last night, luckily they got off the next stop. Anyways I remembered their "leaders" face he was extremely over weight and had his front teeth knocked out, oh ya and he stank like he never had taken a shower. Anyway fuck him I am happy they didnt cause any physical damage.

Well yesterday after school went with Shu to a thermal bath for the afternoon, that was really nice, and then we swam in the normal pool, damn its been so long since I excercised so swimming was a real pleasure.
Well for all you who know about this event and know what happens in Russia during this time, dont bother. For those who need a wake up call read:
2 Brutally Stabbed to Death in Apparent Hate Crimes
By Carl Schreck
Staff Writer
A Tajik citizen and an ethnic Armenian were brutally stabbed to death in separate attacks that appear racially motivated, authorities said Wednesday.

Five suspects have been detained in connection with the stabbings, one of which was recorded by a video surveillance camera.

Khairullo Sadykov, 26, a street sweeper from Tajikistan, was stabbed 35 times on Monday evening outside an apartment building on Ulitsa Metallurgov, near the Perovo metro station in eastern Moscow, said Sergei Vasilovsky, chief investigator at the Eastern Administrative District prosecutor's office.

He died on the spot.

Vasilovsky did not have information about arrests in connection with the death. But a law enforcement source told Komsomolskaya Pravda that two teenagers resembling skinheads had been detained thanks to video footage from a surveillance camera installed near a building entryway.

The footage showed two young men of Slavic appearance with shaven heads stabbing Sadykov, and both were wearing "high, laced-up, army-style boots," the source said, Komsomolskaya Pravda reported Wednesday.

The report identified the suspects as Pavel Skachayevsky, a 17-year-old student at the Russian State Physical Education University, and Artur Ryno, a 17-year-old art student. The clothes they were wearing when detained were covered in blood, and they closely resembled the attackers on the surveillance video, the report said.

Prosecutors have opened a murder investigation. If charged and convicted, the two suspects face up to life in prison.

In the other attack, Armenian businessman Karen Abramyan, 46, was stabbed 20 times by three assailants at around 10 p.m. Monday in southwest Moscow, police said.

Abramyan was taken to a hospital, where he died of his wounds.

A law enforcement source told Interfax that three young men had been detained. The source said the trio had shaved heads and were wearing army-style boots.

"After he was taken to the hospital, the victim said he was attacked because of his ethnicity, saying the young men were shouting racial epithets," the source was quoted as saying.

The source said the detainees had admitted to stabbing the businessman.

A police spokesman declined to comment on the detentions.
